Ever wondered how to grow your own sprouts? It’s easier than you think! You can easily sprout a wide range of seeds at your home in just a couple days. Once you get the hang of it, you can have a steady supply of fresh and crunchy sprouts ready to add to your salads, smoothies, stir-frys, soups and much more.
Here’s my DIY solution to make your sprouting dream come true!
With a hammer and a hole puncher make many small holes in the jar’s lid. That’s it! Your sprouting jar is ready.
Place your preferred seeds in the jar and soak them for a few hours. Here I used some mung bean seeds, but you could also use lentils or soybeans. Click here for more ideas and information.
Drain the water out of the jar and place it upside down in a bowl, as shown on the photo below. Water the seeds once a day by filling the jar with some water, draining it out and placing the jar back in the bowl.
Eat your delicious sprouts! You can consume them at different stages of growth. Once they reach full size put the jar in the fridge to slow their growth. Consume within a couple of days.
